During the funeral of a sixty-year-old farmer, his faithful horse burst into the cemetery. Several men tried to subdue the animal, which seemed out of control, but it began furiously striking the coffin lid with its hooves.

With each blow, the horse became more agitated. It snorted loudly, shook its head, and butted its head so violently against the coffin that several men desperately tried to move it away. One grabbed it by the neck, another tried to stop it sideways, but suddenly, Thunder reared up and placed its front hooves directly on the coffin.

The women screamed. Some people backed away in terror.

The horse began to beat furiously against the lid, as if trying to reach something inside. Cracks began to spread across the polished wood.

A tough blow.

One second.

A third one.

And suddenly, a loud cracking sound echoed throughout the cemetery.

The coffin lid broke.

For several seconds, a deathly silence fell over the place.

Just below the body was a large black bag, tightly wrapped with tape.

The farmer's son turned pale.

The men quickly opened the coffin completely and took out the strange package. When they cut open the bag with a knife, those present exchanged terrified glances.

Inside were bundles of banknotes, old documents, and several gold jewels that had disappeared a month earlier during a major robbery at a jewelry store in the neighboring district.

A murmur immediately rippled through the crowd.

Someone called the police.

The investigation revealed that, a few days before his death, the farmer had witnessed a robbery by chance. The thieves had hidden the loot in his barn and threatened to kill his entire family if he spoke to the police. However, the farmer said nothing to anyone: a week later, he succumbed to a heart attack.

And all this time, it was Thunder who had seen his master enter the barn late at night to hide the same bag again.

The horse recognized its scent even through the coffin lid.

When the police removed the body, many people stood silently by the grave, their eyes fixed on Thunder. The horse now stood calmly beside the coffin, as if he had finally accomplished what he had fought so hard for since his arrival at the cemetery.
